Braun, Abraham (‘Avi’)


Son of Zvi and Leah. He was born in Nes Tziona on September 6, 1954. He studied in the public school and continued his studies at the high school in Nes Tziona in the real world: My father was a diligent and intelligent student, loved by his teachers and classmates. During his high school vacations and after completing a first aid course, he used to help, as a volunteer brother, in the emergency room and in the operating room of Kaplan Hospital, and told his close friends that he wanted to study medicine at the end of his studies In the Six Day War, he volunteered to distribute mail and did so with great loyalty, and he received a letter of appreciation from the Minister of Post. . Was a delegate to the national youth parliament and sent, the only student in his school, studying in the Department of Statistics at Tel Aviv University. My father was drafted into the IDF in October 1972 and was assigned to the Armored Force. After basic training he served in one of the IAF units as assistant to the staff officer. Was an excellent soldier, responsible and dedicated to his job. Was an example of his friends in the unit with his good temper, his passivity and his obedience. During his service in the IDF, he tried not to worry his parents and kept in touch with his friends, never complaining of difficulties or even much to tell about his achievements. In his unit, he fell to the rank of lieutenant in the cemetery of Nes Tziona on September 1, 1975. He left behind his parents and a sister.
