Brad, Isaac (Izu)


Son of Binah and Hershko, was born in 1926 in the city of Butchany, Romania. He attended high school, and all that he had been through since the war and decrees urged him to immigrate to Israel. He arrived in 1946 and was among the illegal immigrants to the Haganah. In Israel he worked as an agricultural laborer in an orchard in Moshav Netaim. Yitzhak served in the Israel Defense Forces in the Golani Brigade and fell in defense of the Mazar Regiment in battles to stabilize the line in Gilboa against the attacks of the Iraqi army on the 12th of Tammuz 5708 (July 12, 1948) and was buried in Afula On June 19, 1968, Was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
