Boxet, Chaim


Son of Geula and Asher, was born on July 30, 1962, in Moshav Elishama in Hod Hasharon. Haim began his studies at the elementary school in Kfar Malal, and after a year he moved to the religious state school in Magdiel, where he completed six years of elementary education and moved to the educational institution in Kfar Batya, where he studied for another three years. And served in the Artillery Corps. When the Peace for Galilee War broke out, he and his battalion immigrated to Lebanon. He excelled in his willingness to volunteer for the tasks of his unit, and liked his fellow soldiers in his friendly manner. On May 28, 1983, Haim was about to be released from compulsory service. On the morning of this day, he stayed at his home and bought refreshments for the party he was about to give his friends on the occasion of his release. On his way to his unit in Lebanon, Haim traveled with a group of soldiers, who were caught in a battle between Christians and Druze in the Al-Arab area. He was buried in the military section of the Magdiel cemetery, where he was raised to the rank of sergeant, and left behind his parents, three sisters and a brother.
