Bornstein, Giora

Son of Ephraim and Esther. He was born on November 20, 1938 in Haifa. He graduated from high school in Binyamina. He was interested in the natural sciences and was willing to continue the tradition of his farming parents and studied agriculture. He belonged to Betar, and when he reached the time of his enlistment in the IDF, he went with members of Group 6 of the Betar youth movement and settled in Amtika in the Lachish region. On September 19, 1958, he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Binyamina. On the first anniversary of his death, a cultural room was dedicated to his memory in Amatzia.
