Bornstein, David
Born in the city of Nuremberg, Germany, he received a religious education and graduated from high school in June 1933. After two years of training in the Kfar Yavetz moshav of Hapoel Ha-Mizrachi, He was devoted to the Torah, to work and to the Haganah, and was meticulous in his work as a seasonal laborer in the agriculture, in the building, and in recent years he devoted himself to the cowshed. In the winter of 1948 he devoted himself to protecting the agriculture and the environment from the Egyptian invader. When he was ordered to remove his men from a lost position in the external defense chain of Be’erot Yitzhak, he obeyed the order, rescued his men, and returned to the position. He survived until he fell on the 15th of Tammuz 5708 (15.7.1948), was buried in Barot Yitzhak, and left a wife and child on the 20th of Cheshvan 5710 (31.10.1950) was transferred to the military cemetery at Mount Herzl In Jerusalem.
