Borinski, Zvi-Haim (Max)


Son of Ella and Alfred, was born on February 23, 1942, in Breslau, Germany (now Wroclaw, in Silesia, Poland). With the intensification of the suppression of the Nazi regime, he stopped his studies in the elementary school and immigrated to Israel in 1935 as part of the Youth Aliya. Zvi was educated and worked for several years in Kibbutz Mizra of Hashomer Hatzair. Afterward he moved to Tel Aviv, worked as a mechanic in a minuscule mechanics and was a member of Hashomer Hatzair in the city. In 1941 he joined the British army as a weapon. As a member of the Hagana he stabilized at the beginning of December 1947 to guard the outskirts of Tel Aviv. He was transferred to a unit of infantry and then to the IDF and served as a weapon until the cancer patient fell ill. Zvi died of his illness on the 2nd of Cheshvan 5709 (2/11/1948) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
