Bont, Miri
Daughter of Gabriel and Ruth. Miriam (Miri) was born in Jerusalem on July 19, 1958. She graduated from high school in 1976. During her studies she took ballet lessons and played in a high school basketball team After graduating from high school, Miri enlisted in the IDF and served as a service officer in the Israel Air Force . Released as lieutenant. After her discharge from the IDF, Miri began studying at the university and completed her BA in English and Sociology in 1983. In April 1998 she completed her MA studies in adult education, and in 1981 she married Miri. On July 26, 1982, Miri joined the police as a detective in the Gush Dan area, and in January 1985 she was appointed to the position of Investigations Officer in the Internal Investigations Department. On October 31, 1993, an assistant was appointed as Head of the Personnel Branch in Jerusalem. On 15 November 1998, Miri was appointed head of the Human Resources Division of the Jerusalem District and received the rank of Chief Superintendent. Miri fell during her service on the 15th of Iyar 5764 (5.5.2004). She was forty-six years old. She was laid to rest in the cemetery on Mount Herzl, Jerusalem. Survived by her two children, parents, brother and sister.
