Bondarevsky, Yuri

Son of Alexandra and Boris. He was born on 27.7.1984 in Makof, Russia. The eldest brother of Svetlana. Yuri’s childhood was spent in his hometown until the end of the first grade. Yuri studied in a school in the city of Kirograd, from where he graduated in June 2001. Yuri loved reading books, especially ancient novels, and during his free time he was active in sports and especially in hunting. In July 2001, the family immigrated to Israel and settled in Bat Yam. In April 2003, Yuri joined the IDF and began basic training for new immigrants. On 25 Tamuz, July 25, 2003. Yuri was killed at the time of his service at the age of 19. He was survived by his parents and a sister. He was buried in his hometown of Makof, Russia.
