Bonan, Raphael (“Rafi”)

Son of Yitzhak and Esther. Born on the 28th of Sivan 5713 (11.6.1953) in Tangier, Morocco, Spain. In 1959 he immigrated to Israel with his family, who settled in Kiryat Gat. Rafi studied at the “Aliyot” elementary school and at the “Maalot” school, both in Kiryat Gat, where he was a cheerful and very sociable young man, and he was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement. Was a player in the local Betar soccer team. Rafi was drafted into the IDF in early October 1971 and volunteered to serve in the Paratroopers Brigade.
