Bokspan, Chaim
Son of Rivka and Avraham Mordechai. Born on 19.5.1926 in the Old City of Jerusalem to a large family, he spent his youth in the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of New Israel, where he was educated on the values of Zionism, love of Israel, and respect for others. He joined the labor movement at a young age and was one of the activists in the Histadrut labor federation in Jerusalem, and before he turned sixteen he began to work in the city’s general health fund, excelled in his work and fulfilled his duties to the satisfaction of everyone. He joined the Israel Defense Forces and joined the Nutras, where he was sent to Sha’ar Hagolan in the Jordan Valley, where he fulfilled his duties efficiently and loyally. He became ill with typhus and passed away on the 26th of Tishrei, October 13, 1944. He was buried in the cemetery in Tiberias and left behind parents, four brothers and a sister.
