Gerard (Yeshaya), son of Blanche and Gabriel, was born on April 7, 1953 in France and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1969. He began his studies in his hometown in France and after immigrating to Israel he studied In the studio at Kibbutz Gvat, Gerar and his family managed to overcome the difficulties of absorption for new immigrants, and Gerar made great efforts to acclimatize and become a member of his family, and he insisted on staying in Israel and building his home. Before he was drafted into the IDF, he was able to study at the Air Force Technical School and acquire a profession in electronics, and he sought to acquire additional knowledge in this field so that he could earn a living and set up his home, In mid-May 1972 and was assigned to the IAF. He served as an anti-aircraft gunman. With his teammates and battalion participated in defense missions against air attacks in the Yom Kippur War. On March 14, 1974, he fell to the cemetery in Nahariya, leaving behind his parents, two brothers and two sisters, and was promoted to the rank of corporal in a letter of condolences to the bereaved family.
