Bogdanov, Israel
Born in Rostov, Russia. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1899 and settled in Nes Ziona, where he worked as a laborer in Nes Tziona and surrounding areas and later became a guard in the village of Ekron. Early in 1918, large forces of the Turkish army and police raided the village of Nes Ziona, he was arrested during the raid, and seven of the residents of the village were captured in the same raid, while the prisoners were held in jail in Jerusalem and later exiled to Damascus where they suffered from starvation and disease. In the winter of 1918, Israel fell in prison and died. He was brought to eternal rest in the Damascus cemetery.
