Bogatz, Zalman-Ze’ev


Son of Jacob and Sarah. Born on Khader Tashaz (28/02/1947) Hans Oster and in 1949 he immigrated to Israel. Here schoolmate, “Yeshurun” and vocational school “home industry” in Holon. Zalman Wolf was drafted into the IDF in September 1965 and was assigned to the corps Armored Corps. While serving in the army, his father died and after his death grew more concern and love for his mother isolated. He felt it was his duty to go out and work to help her. After his release from the army he was called for periods of reserve duty. As recently called for active reserve duty told his mother, wanting to reassure her, she did not remain alone for a long time; That he would be away from home for only a month; Because since he was widowed he would not have left her alone. But fate wanted otherwise. On the seventeenth tribe Regulations, (24/01/1970) fell Zalman Wolf line of duty truck explosion of ammunition in the port of Eilat. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
