Boch, Hanan


Son of Yehoshua and Katrina, born in the city of Dviksri in the Soviet Union on March 28, 1944. The family immigrated to Israel and settled in Ein Shemer. In 1962 he was drafted into the IDF and volunteered for the paratroopers. Hanan took a platoon commander’s course and a sabotage course, finished with honors, and was then transferred to a parachuted engineering corps. His commanders in the army remember him as a quiet guy, ready to execute any order with love and loyalty. On the second day of the battles of the Six-Day War, the 27th of Iyar, May 6, 1967, when he was 27 Hanan was killed in the battle for the liberation of Jerusalem and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
