Boanos, Eliyahu (Moses)


Son of Miriam and Mario. Born on July 12, 1952 in Morocco, his family immigrated to Israel in 1964 and settled in Be’er Sheva, where he grew up and was educated at the central elementary school, and in the Tze’elim Middle School. From the Amal high school in Be’er Sheva, and in the 11th grade he was accepted to the electronics course at the IAF Technical School in Haifa. At the beginning of May 1971, Eliahu was drafted into the Israel Air Force, and his commanders testified that he was a disciplined and efficient soldier in 1974. In 1974 he joined the ranks of the career army. In the opinion of his commanders, he was against very good, always showed initiatives and a great desire to contribute, he worked in one of the most difficult and complex places, and managed to organize and advance the section. ” In 1984 he was chosen as an outstanding leader of the base and the squadron. During these years he married Ruth and his three children – Liran, Almog, and Yaniv – were born. Eliyahu participated in two wars, the Yom Kippur War and the War of 133. He suffered from a respiratory illness and asked to serve in the vicinity of Arad, but his health did not interfere with his day-to-day functioning.
