Blumenfeld, Yitzhak

Son of-Avraham and Blinka. Born in Frankfurt, Germany on May 7, 1908. His father, a teacher in a Jewish school in his city, completed his studies in the Jewish school in his hometown, immigrated to Israel in 1934. He was involved in drilling wells, During the War of Independence, he participated in the territorial defense of the Herzliya and Kfar Saba regions, and on his service in the IDF he died on the 28th of Iyar 5714 (May 31, 1954) and was brought to eternal rest in the Herzliya cemetery. He left a wife and two children.
