Blitz, Yosef Meir
Son of Zvi. Born in 1913 in Glazenkirchen, Westphalia, Germany, He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1934. Immediately upon his immigration, he joined the Hapoel Ha-Mizrachi organization, settled in the village of Yavetz, joined the ranks of the Haganah, and worked as a laborer in the orchards of the area. On one of the days of the 1936-1939 riots, on 25 July 1938, he went with other laborers to work in orchards south of the village, and he was killed there. He was laid to rest in the “Hagana” section of the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery.
