Blass, Moses
Son of Yitzhak and Simchah. He was born on 11 March 1928 in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. After graduating from high school in Baghdad, he attended a course for clerks and bookkeepers. He worked as a clerk in commerce. Before he immigrated to Israel, he carried out a great deal of propaganda for the homeland, and finally, in 1951, he immigrated with his father and mother, brothers and sisters. He was enrolled in a three-year course of certified nurses at the Rambam Government Hospital in Haifa and continued his studies for about one year, but in April 1952 he was drafted into the IDF and assigned a medic. He was wounded while carrying out his duties and died of his wounds on the 19th of Elul 5703 (August 30, 1953). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
