Blaman, Yoav

Son of Shimshon and Shoshana. He was born on the 6th of Elul, September 10, 1948. He studied elementary school in Kfar Vitkin, and then continued his high school studies at the regional high school in Emek Hefer. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement. He wanted to continue his studies at the Hebrew University of Haifa, and to find a job that would keep him in the course of his studies, so that he would not become a burden on his parents. He enjoyed music, and played the clarinet. What was imposed on him, he did out of loyalty. He was very modest, and minimized talk about his life in the army. He always took part in special operational activities, and proved himself to be a brave and courageous fighter, who was not deterred by anything. On the 28th of Av, August 22, 1968, he fell in the line of duty, when the enemy hit him. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Kfar Vitkin. His memory was immortalized in the “Yediot” of the Emek Hefer region. A booklet appeared in his memory called “Yoav”.
