Because of his great love for his family and his parents, he could not see with regret his father, who had earned a small salary as an agricultural laborer, and that was not enough to support the many children. He began working in the banana plantation at Sha’ar Hagolan, and has continued this work for many years. Thanks to his talents, diligence and credibility, he became familiar with the members of the agriculture and within a relatively short time entrusted him with responsibility for part of the banana industry. He gave all his salary to his parents and even distributed pocket money to his older brothers. Thus the family managed to collect together a sum of money sufficient to build another room, which slightly alleviated the severe crowding of twelve people in two rooms. In 1960, after the marriage of his older brother and sister, the family moved to the Wadi Salib neighborhood of Haifa and shortly thereafter was recruited for regular service. Yossi was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early February 1960. After completing basic training, he completed his Armored Corps course and completed it successfully, and as a disciplined and responsible soldier he was quickly sent to a tank-tank course and completed a successful course. He was forced to refuse to know how financially dependent his family was on the first day after his discharge from the regular army service. He was hired as a sailor at the Haifa port, and underwent various training courses as port technicians He continued to support his family, and he spared no effort to give his family all the money he had earned. What was so lacking in him as a boy and as a boy, but when he succeeded in realizing most of his plans and dreams, the war broke out, and he did not return in the Yom Kippur War. On October 8, 1973, in a battle near the Hosaniya Junction, his tank was hit directly and Yossi was killed on the spot. He was brought to eternal rest in the Haifa cemetery. Survived by a wife, daughter and two sons, parents and nine brothers and sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
