Biton, Avraham-Ya’akov
Son of Shlomo. Born in 1891 in Haifa, he worked as a carpenter and lived in the Tel-Haim neighborhood, where he lived in the Salameh orchard, which was the focus of the rioters. In 1936, most of the families abandoned the neighborhood. On the night of 29 Av, August 26, 1938, Arabs attacked the neighborhood, and Avraham, who was on guard duty, was wounded and killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery.
