Bick, Shlomo
Was born on 8 January 1930 in the city of Czernica, Bessarabia, and when he was nine years old, he went to visit his relatives in the Ukraine and when he was there, World War II broke out. In 1944 he was able to leave Bucharest, Romania, in a group of orphans who were taken away with the help of the Jewish Agency and brought to Eretz Israel, where he was sent to kibbutzim and moshavim throughout the country. After completing his studies during the War of Independence, he was active in defending the Yishuv as a liaison between the positions. On Thursday, December 7, 1948, he fell in the line of duty. He was laid to rest in the cemetery of Ayelet Hashahar. He laid two brothers.
