But after persuading his parents and two of his good friends, he agreed to join the Ordnance Corps as an electrical professional. Adir was admired and accepted by his many friends. Adir enlisted in the IDF in November 1990. Adir was sent to an electrician training course, and he worked loyally and was a disciplined soldier, and after two months he was sent on a mission to secure installations in Beit El and on his way On February 20, 1991, he fell in the line of duty. Adir was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents, brother and sister – Elijah and Simcha. Adir predicted his death, since in many conversations with his cousin he often told her that he felt that he would die two months after his enlistment, as indeed happened.
