Besson, Abraham
Son of Meir and Haviva. He was born on March 21, 1948 in Jerusalem. He studied at the Emunim religious elementary school in Givatayim and later went on to the Moreshet High School in Tel Aviv and was about to receive a matriculation certificate. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved ha – Dati movement. It was comfortable and loved by people. From his youth he was a pleasant man and a friend. He worked as a clerk in an “Mizrahi” bank and acted loyally. He was drafted into the IDF in February 1967 and served for only five months, when the Six-Day War broke out in which he participated until he fell on June 15, 1967; This was when a bunker of ammunition exploded in the upper customs house above the Bnot Yaakov Bridge. He was buried in the military cemetery in Nahariya and later transferred to the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. In “Yesodot”, the journal of the Workers’ Union, his memory was mentioned, as well as in the municipal information and local life magazine of Givatayim. His memory was also raised in the “Book of the Fallen” published by the Givatayim Municipality.
