Bernstein, Marco (Meir)

Marco, son of Frieda and Edward Bernstein, was born in Lithuania in 1967. Marco immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1980 when he was 13. He enlisted in the IDF in August 1986 and was fit to serve in the Paratroopers Brigade. At the end of the course he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and was assigned to the auxiliary company. On the 17th of Iyar 5748 (May 4, 1988) he fell in battle in Lebanon. He was buried in the military cemetery in Nahariya. Survived by his parents and brother Yuri.
