Benyamini, Moshe (“Moshik”)
Moshe, son of David and Yona Benyamini, was born on September 21, 1943 in Tel Aviv. In November 1961 he was drafted into the IDF, first serving in the Paratroopers Brigade and later in the Combat Engineers Corps. On the eve of the Six Day War he was assigned to an armored unit with which he fought and was devoted and loyal to his position and his comrades. On 7.6.1967, when he volunteered to survey the area where dozens of enemy soldiers were found and to secure the passage of the armored half-track he was driving, Moshe fell. He was buried at the military cemetery in Bari and then moved to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
