Benjamin, Jacob

Son of Shimon and Rebecca. Born in 1950 in the city of Fez, Morocco, his family immigrated to Israel in 1956. Yaakov studied at the elementary school in Moshav Eliflet in the Upper Galilee and at a vocational urban high school in Safed and spent many hours reading books on various subjects At every social event among the youth, he was always ready to help his father, who served as a minister at the school there, and continued helping the family during his service in the IDF. Jacob was respected in every person and sought to complete his actions. He was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early October 1969 and volunteered for the Israel Air Force, and on the 19th of Tammuz 5737 (12.7.1971), Sergeant Yaakov was taken to rest in the cemetery in Rosh Pina.
