Ben-Yehuda, Elisha-Aryeh

Ben-Yehuda, Elisha-Aryeh

Son of Yitzhak and Rachel. He was born on November 19, 1936, in Jerusalem. He completed his elementary studies at the “Tachkemoni” school, and then continued his high school studies at the Rehavia Gymnasium until he graduated from it. When he was a student at the Tachkemoni school, he went to work voluntarily, without the knowledge of his parents, preparing the “Burma Road” – which was then under the age of 13. He showed a tendency to art in a variety of areas, such as making jewelry, furniture and decorations. He was drafted into the IDF in October 1954 and after completing his regular service, he would occasionally go to reserve duty. On the 28th of Tammuz, 5728 (28.6.1968), Aryeh fell in the line of duty, left a wife, and was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
