Ben-Yaakov (Mizrahi), Shmuel


Shmuel, son of Tauss and Jacob son of-Yaakov, was born on December 16, 1927) in Jerusalem. Shmuel volunteered for the Palmach and went on to train in Ayelet Hashahar, where he joined the Jewish settlements police and served there for three years. He was arrested by the British in Jerusalem as a suspect in belonging to the underground and imprisoned for a year in Latrun, where he continued to work in the Hagana in youth training, served in the Palmach and faithfully fulfilled what was imposed on him. Shmuel took part in the defense of the commercial center in Jerusalem and the Nahalat Yitzhak neighborhood. On 29 Tevet, 7.1.1948, he killed and was buried on the Mount of Olives.
