In the Haifa liberation campaign he participated as deputy commander of the platoon in the conquest of the Wadi Rushmiya neighborhood and during an assault and a break into one of the fortified houses he was hit by a bullet and fell on the 22nd of Nissan 5708 (22.4.1948). Elidah was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
