Ben-Shaul, Aharon (Haruna)

Aharon, son of Sarah and Joseph son of-Shaul, was born on 11.2.1930 in Jerusalem. Aharon came to serve in the “Moriah” battalion in the Jerusalem Brigade. During the winter of 1948, he participated in many battles and was a dedicated and disciplined soldier. On the 27th of Adar II 5708 (1948) he left with reinforcements to the Castel, and when they reached the fourth kilometer they were attacked by the Arabs. Aharon was captured by the enemy and since then has been missing. A memorial monument was erected in the military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
