Ben-Neria, Jordan

Jordan, son of Ruth and Amnon Ben-Neria, was born on January 30, 1962, in the Kiryat Anavim Kibbutz. Jordan was a grandson of the group’s founders. When he reached the time of his enlistment in the IDF, Jordan asked to serve in an armored unit, and to that end he needed the consent of his parents, who had lost their firstborn son in a war. The parents signed their consent that their second son would serve in a combat unit. On the day of the 5th of Tevet 5761 (1 December 1980), when he was with the camp, a shot was heard. His friends found him wallowing in his blood. All their efforts to save him failed. He died that day and was laid to rest in the burial plot of IDF soldiers in Kiryat Anavim, leaving behind his parents and two sisters.
