Ben-Naim, Yosef


Yosef, son of Rachel and Yaakov Son of-Naim, was born in 1928 in Morocco. He immigrated to Israel in 1949 and lived in Jerusalem. From 1951 until 1963, he served in the Israel Police with the rank of sergeant. During his service in the police, Yosef was a traffic examiner and researcher, an investigator in the Investigations Bureau, and a prosecutor in a court of law on traffic and criminal matters. Yosef participated in all of Israel’s wars, and in April 1979 he was recruited to active reserve duty as commander of the public security force in Jerusalem. He died doing his duties on the 11th of Iyar (May 8, 1979) and was buried at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. He left behind a wife and three sons, a mother, brothers and sisters.
