Ben-Mior, Nissim
Nissim, son of Matilda and Yitzhak, was born on December 31, 1953, in Tel Aviv. He studied at the “Shavei Zion” elementary school in Jaffa and later began working in the carpentry workshop. Nissim was a good student, but as a boy he said that he dreams of being a professional and sees his future as a carpenter. He was a cheerful, kind boy and a very devoted son to his parents. He had a collection of stamps and devoted his free time to various sports. His friends say he had a “contagious” joie de vivre. He was humble, loved to help others, and always had words of encouragement to his family and friends. Nissim was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of May 1972, before he turned 18. He was assigned to the Armored Corps, and after completing basic training, he took part in a course for tank drivers and was attached to one of the armored units in the south. “In the company, he was always ready to help the soldiers and served as an example of his friends in his good temper and obedience.
