Ben-Lulu, Shlomo
Born in 1926 in the city of Casablanca, Morocco, where he completed his elementary school. He belonged to the Hechalutz movement and found his livelihood and support for his family as a shoemaker. In September 1948, he immigrated to Israel with his wife on the “Nurit” ship, on Aliyah Bet, and they settled in Haifa. Shlomo was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Engineering Corps on October 8, 1948, when he was hit by a bullet in the outpost and fell. Shlomo was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. Left a pregnant wife. His son, who was born after his death, was named after him – Shlomo.
