Ben-Haim, Nissim

Ben-Haim, Nissim

Son of Miriam and Haim was born in 1929 in Jerusalem. His latest activity was his participation in the dropping of the barrel bomb near the Jaffa Gate, which took place on January 7, 1948. When their car returned from dropping the bomb and encountered no movement, its passengers tried to jump from it and escape through the Muslim cemetery in Mamilla to the Jewish area. Nissim was wounded by the shots of the British policemen, taken to the government hospital and rumored to have been murdered there by the Arab nurses and caregivers. He was buried on the Mount of Olives. His name was engraved on the monument erected in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in memory of those who perished in the Jewish Quarter and the memory of soldiers who fell in the battle for Jerusalem and were buried on the Mount of Olives.
