Ben-Dor, Yaakov
Son of Ada and Aharon, was born on February 11, 1945 in Rishon Letzion. Yaakov studied at Haviv Elementary School in Rishon Letzion and continued his studies at the Mevo’ot Yam marine school in Michmoret, in the shipping industry. In 1963 he joined the IDF and served in the Golani Brigade. Yaakov participated in the Six-Day War, the Yom Kippur War and the Peace for Galilee War. After his graduation from the IDF, he joined Egged and worked as a bus driver, and he was an active and friendly man and liked his friends in Ashdod, where he was one of the members of the Civil Guard since its establishment, Yaakov fell during his reserve duty in the Golan Heights on the 11th of Heshvan 5744 (1981) and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion. , Parents, etc. His friends at the “Egged” garage in Ashdod set up a monument in his memory at the entrance to the parking lot, in the shape of a fallen tree, surrounded by planting and a carved iron fence
