Ben-Dayan, Yitzhak (Isaac)


Yitzhak (Itzik), son of Sarah and Yehuda, was born on 29.5.1942 in Ouzda, Morocco, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1956. Yitzhak was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early February 1960 and assigned to the Artillery Corps, and after completing a series of courses and advanced training, he became an excellent gunner. During the Yom Kippur War, in the battle that took place on October 16, 1973, in the central sector, Yitzhak was hit by a shell and killed at the site . He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left behind a wife, two sons and three daughters, a father, a mother, two brothers and three sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
