Ben-David, Yitzhak

Son of Kamuna and Nissim, was born on May 8, 1928 in Tripoli, Libya. Yitzhak arrived in Israel at the beginning of the month of Sivan 1948. He joined one of the Yiftach Brigade battalions and went to the front, took part in all the battalion’s operations and fought with great courage during the “Yoav” operation to break through the Negev. He died on the 18th of Tishrei 5709 (October 21, 1948) and was buried in Dorot. On the 17th of Nissan 5710 (4.5.1950) and was transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
