Ben-David, Herzl


Son of Rahamim and Jamila. He was born on September 5, 1949 in Tripoli, the capital of Libya. Herzl was three months old when his parents brought him to Israel. When he reached school age, he studied at the elementary school in Ramot Yosef and when he completed his studies, he began studying at the Asher Municipal High School in Bat Yam and completed his one-year studies. He belonged to the Hapoel Haifa football team. He later worked in a printing press. In August 1967, he was drafted into the IDF and was an orderly, disciplined soldier who performed his duties without complaint to the best of the best, and on April 14, 1968, he was hit in the Beit Shean Valley by the shots of a Jordanian sniper In the course of his service, he served for eight months in his regular service and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul
