Ben-David, Avner

Avner, son of Miriam and Elimelech Son of-David, was born on February 25, 1943, in Kiryat Haim. In 1961, when he was drafted into the IDF, he was accepted to the Academic Reserve, and he continued to study at the Technion, where he was in reserve, fulfilling his duty as a soldier in an infantry unit. In 1980, Avner suffered a malignant disease, and for one year struggled for his life. On the 20th of Adar 5731 (March 26, 1981), on his 38th birthday, he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa, leaving behind a wife, son, parents and sister.
