Ben-Chamu, Aharon

Aharon, son of Yitzhak and Aliza Son of-Chamu, was born on April 6, 1958 in Kfar Gvirol. Aharon was drafted into the IDF in May 1976 and volunteered to serve as a paratrooper. After basic training, he completed a high-jump course and completed with great success. On May 10, 1977, Aharon died in a helicopter crash in the Jordan Valley. In this disaster, 54 soldiers were killed. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Rehovot cemetery. Survived by his parents, and thirteen brothers and sisters. His family donated a Torah scroll in his memory in the Ohel Yitzhak Synagogue in Kfar Gvirol.
