Ben-Baruch, Menahem (Manny)

Menahem, son of Abraham and Leah Son of-Baruch, was born on September 19, 1950 in Haifa. At the beginning of October 1968, Menahem was conscripted into the IDF and was conscientious and loyal to his comrades-in-arms, thanks to his professional skills. In this role, he also continued to serve in reserve duty every year. On the day of the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War he stabilized in his unit, fought in the Golan Heights and was not released from this service until 199 days later. In the meantime he married Jonah and set up his home. He made his living as a taxi driver in Haifa, and his clients were able to appreciate his kindness and willingness to help wherever he was needed. On Wednesday, July 9, 1978, Menahem fell in reserve duty in the military cemetery in Haifa, leaving behind a wife, parents, brothers and sisters.
