Ben-Atas, Shalom


Son of Leon and Ninette. Born in Tunis, Tunisia, in 1956. His family immigrated to Israel in 1956. He began his studies at the Nehora Center in the Lachish region and in 1958 moved to Dimona, where he studied at the ORT vocational school in Jerusalem where he studied three He was a member of the “Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed” movement in Dimona, and was a member of the “Sport and Physical Education” movement in Dimona and was active in organizing and performing various events in the company and his work. 1966. During the service he underwent a tank mechanic course, but he did not serve for a year or so It took months for the Six-Day War to break out. On the first day of the battles, on the 5th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967), a battle took place in Sheikh Zweid in Sinai, when his half-track was hit by a mortar shell and burned, Shalom died with all the crew. Was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to the Dimona cemetery for burial.
