Belen, David

David, son of Miriam and Abraham Belen, was born in Haifa on April 24, 1959. He successfully graduated from the School of Marine Officers in Acco, specializing in mechanics, and served in the Navy as a mechanic. After completing his army service, David enlisted in the Israel Police, the Coast Guard in the Haifa Port, and served as a ship mechanic for about ten years. He died on the 17th of Sivan (20.6.1989) from an illness. David was thirty years old when he fell. He was buried in the Kiryat Ata cemetery. He left behind a wife and two daughters, parents and a sister.
