Beit-Halahmi, Atara (“Sherik”)


Daughter of Abraham and Sarah. She was born on May 2, 1936, in Haifa, to the Amal family, where she completed her studies in the high school and in the kindergarten seminary of the Histadrut in Haifa, and was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement. She went to music and painting because she wanted to go to the sublime and to Jaffa, to read literature, to visit the homeland she loved so much, and to absorb all the splendor of it. In the permanent army and reached the rank of lieutenant, died of a Lev stroke on Thursday, September 1, 1957, and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
