Beidner, Marick (Mark)
Marick, son of Yitzhak and Shoshana Beidner, was born in Cracow, Poland, in 1927. He studied at the Yeshiva there and then at a high school in France, and during World War II he spent in concentration camps (including Auschwitz camp). He was drafted into the IDF in April 1948 and went to participate in the War of Independence as a medic. He also took part in the Sinai Campaign in 1956. At the outbreak of the Six-Day War, he was called again to give his service to the homeland and on the 8th of Sivan 5767 (16.6.1967), riding over a mine, he fell while carrying out his duties. Marick was laid to rest in the cemetery in Rishon LeZion.
