Beiders, Menachem-Mendel
Son of Eliyahu and Miriam. He was born on the 26th of Sivan 5706 (26.6.1946) at the end of World War II, in Tashkent, Russia. In 1950 he immigrated to Israel with his family, who settled in Kfar Yona. He attended the “Amal” elementary school in Kfar Yona and continued for two years at the “Neurim” vocational high school near Netanya. Even though he was a talented student, he was forced to stop his studies without any time and to go to work to help support the household. Nevertheless, he did not completely abandon his studies and continued to attend evening high school. He was an active member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement and participated in folk dancing and singing in the village. Despite the hardships of life and their hardships, he was full of joy. Menachem was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in November 1963. During his regular service, he successfully completed various courses and served at the request of his commanders for a year as a civilian, but because of his sense of duty he knew that his place with the volunteers and the outbreak of war Six days he returned to the IDF – his unit and his role. He was a vehicle officer in a heavy mortars unit and performed his role with honors. His commanders appreciated his work and his good spirits. His subordinates loved him for his kindness and his love of justice. His commanders encouraged him to continue his studies and he successfully completed an educational training course held at the Military Academy for Education in Jerusalem. On the 4th of Tammuz 5729 (4.7.1969), Sergeant Menahem fell in the line of duty and was put to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. He left a wife and a little girl.
