Beggoni, Shula


Shula (Shachla), Batya and Avraham, was born on August 11, 1954 in Teheran, who immigrated to Israel with her family in 1965 and settled in Ashdod. She studied at an elementary school in Persia and at the Shikmim Elementary School in Ashdod. Afterward, she continued her studies for two years in a vocational school, fashion trend, and a year at the Rambam High School in Ashdod, where she was quickly absorbed in Israel and after completing her studies at the vocational school, In the course of accounting, she worked at Electra Amin in Ashdod and then decided to specialize in women’s literature, studied the subject and took the final exams. According to her mother, as if Shula felt that her days were numbered and she wanted to do many things, until her last days she had not known about her severe illness, Before she was recruited, she worked as a secretary in the “Plastic Capacitors” company in Ashdod, where Shula was recruited to the IDF at the end of July 1973 and assigned to the Air Force. According to certain criteria, Shula received an exemption from military service, but she volunteered to serve in the army. After basic training, she was assigned to an IAF wing commander as a worker who was then promoted to an air base in Be’er Sheva. After the Yom Kippur War he was promoted to First-Private. On the 22nd of Shevat 5734 (22.2.1944), Shula died during her service and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
