Becher, Shmuel


Son of Sarah and Joseph. Shmuel was born in Turkey on May 5, 1931. Immigrated to Israel in 1948, lived in a kibbutz near Jerusalem and joined the army, the paratroopers. After his military service, Shmuel enlisted in the Israel Police and was a police officer for three years. He then moved to Jaffa, where he worked in a variety of positions – mainly as a horse and patrol unit. He then moved to the Yarkon area, as the reconnaissance officer. On the 27th of Av 5738 (August 25, 1978) Shmuel was killed during his service at the age of forty-seven He was buried in the cemetery in Holon and left a wife and five daughters: “His entire life revolved around the Israel Police, Where he served twenty-seven years.
